Artistic gadgetry of "Machine Lights" by Frank Buchwald
First time I saw "Machine Lights" created by German designer Frank Buchwald - term "anti-minimalistic" came to mind. In the modern "steampunk'ish" kinda way - that is. There is no hiding of the inner workings in Frank's designs. In fact every mechanical detail is emphasized and exaggerated in to bold modernistic statements.
It reminds me of philosophy shared by other wizards of mechanical artistry - MB&F, to interpret simple mechanics in a most aesthetically complex and visionary style.
It's strong gadgetry characteristics would compliment interiors worthy of Jules Verne imagination but only for those of us who are willing to part from $3,900 to $15,500 per Machine Light.
