Revisited: Fashion in Motion | "Moscow Metro" photo series by Alena Nikoforova
Those of us who have visited Moscow would never forget impressive Moscow Metro. One station more beautiful than another - it feels just like driving train between art exhibitions, in fact more beautiful than some of the worlds museums. Well, it was built in USSR times to reflect the "power and cultural riches" of country building communistic utopia. Soviet Union was under Stalinist psychosis of "gigantic-mania" and wanted to catch and surpass the West at any price, and in the sense of Moscow Metro they definitely succeeded (just compare it to New York's "dump of a subway"). Compare it to any world metro for that matter.
In her photo series called "Moscow Metro" Russian photographer Alena Nikoforova uses it as a background for her fashion photo shoot. To add the sense of motion - models are photographed jumping and moving. More of Alena's work can be found here.
